The Robovan means that deliveries are about to get more efficient and much, much scarier.

Here’s how this dystopian innovation works: a human driver takes a van containing what can only be described as a hive of robots to a central location. Then the robots disperse, like so many spider babies, throughout the area, delivering their payloads to various locations before returning to the van.

The small robots are capable of traveling 3 miles from the central Mother Van before returning. They have an insectile six wheels.

A prototype of the technology is currently being tested in London.
